I feel like for the epilogue JK Rowling just took some fan-girl’s fanfcition and changed a few words to make it her own. Ron/Hermione and Harry/Ginny? How is that even realistic? Apparantly everyone ends up with the equivalent of their high school sweetheart life doesn’t work like that.

I don’t like the quote ‘happiness can be found even in the darkest of times if one only remembers to turn on the light’. It doesn’t really make much sense to me - what is this metaphorical light we’re supposed to be turning on? It just seems a little too perfect with little actual meaning, and Dumbledore never even said it in the book. It is a lot of peoples’ favourite ever quote but every time I see it it just irritates me…

I never got how Ron could’ve fallen for the ‘turn Scabbers yellow’ trick that the twins pulled on him. Isn’t he a pure-blood wizard? Wouldn’t he KNOW that that wasn’t a spell? That’s one of the reasons why he’ll always be ‘The Idiot of the Trio’ to me.
